Only one arrival today, but it’s a title that has garnered a lot of attention in the brief time it’s been appearing on 4xblu’s shelves: Kathryn Bigelow’s “Strange Days.” Set in what was then the future (1999), the drug of choice in this sci-fi action film is a kind of video footage-based virtual reality peddled by cop-turned-hustler Lenny Nero (played by Ralph Fiennes). Prescient stuff, but the film’s box office failure suggests that perhaps it was ahead of its time.
