A pair of packages came from Germany and England today, each containing one new addition to the shop’s inventory and one restock. The British parcel’s debut is Takeshi Kitano’s “Fireworks,” which arrived with a restock of Roman Polanski’s “The Pianist.” This is not only the first Kitano movie to join the shop’s inventory, but it’s also the first release by Third Window Films to grace 4xblu’s shelves. There’s recently been a couple of inquiries about ordering some of the label’s titles, so this almost certainly isn’t the last you’ll be seeing of Third Window at Foreign Exchange.

As for the German shipment, its debut is Sam Raimi’s “A Simple Plan,” which turned up with a restock of Richard Linklater’s “Me & Orson Welles.” “A Simple Plan” is the shop’s first Raimi title, but it probably won’t be alone for long, as 4xblu recently included Raimi’s “The Gift” in its first Danish order.
