Today’s lone arrival is a restock of Prince’s “Sign ‘O’ The Times” from Australia. A few weeks ago a boarder at criterionforum.org asked about how the decision of which version to stock gets made when a title like this one gets released by two different companies. In this instance, it simply came down to the fact that one of the shop’s regulars asked for the Japanese edition and another requested the Australian, so I decided to order both. As I mentioned on May 22nd’s post about “I’m Not There,” whenever there are multiple versions of a title with drastically different specs and/or prices I do my best to offer customers an option. After all, it’s their eyes and ears (and wallets) that are weighing the titles’ relative merits, not mine.
