Today’s Arrivals: 5/22/16

Today’s lone arrival is the colorfully-slipcovered Australian Blu-ray of “I’m Not There” by Todd Haynes. “I’m Not There” is one of a handful of titles for which the shop carries more than one version. In this case, it stems from the fact the German edition contains five or six instances of onscreen text that have been switched from English to German and left unsubtitled.

Since the German disc sells for less than half the asking price of the Australian Blu-ray, 4xblu customers can decide for themselves whether this difference is worth the added cost. Then again, there is that slipcover….
