A quartet of restocks arrived from the UK today. Their ranks included Spike Lee’s “Clockers,” Ben Wheatley’s “Sightseers,” Ray Harryhausen’s “Earth vs. The Flying Saucers,” and “Bound” by The Wachowskis.
Some of you may be wondering why the shop stocks those last two titles since they have U.S. releases. In the case of “Earth vs. The Flying Saucers,” a customer suggested the British standalone since it’s only available domestically as part of a four movie box set. As for “Bound,” Arrow’s version contains a treasure trove of bonus features not included on the American release and, according to this blu-ray.com review, “the encoding here is clearly superior. As a result, both depth and clarity are better.”
