Today’s batch of arrivals include one new addition to the shop’s inventory, R.W. Fassbinder’s “Querelle,” and a quartet of restocks. Based on a novel by Jean Genet and boasting a cast that includes Franco Nero and Jeanne Moreau, “Querelle” was Fassbinder’s final feature, a highly stylized film shot on studio lots that has gone from a mixed critical reception on release to recognition as a triumph of cinematic subversion.

Among the restocks that came today are a pair of 70’s Brian De Palma flicks, “Sisters” and “Obsession,” plus Mario Bava’s “Blood and Black Lace.” Lastly, from the UK comes “The Ealing Studios Collection Vol. 1,” which contains Robert Hamer’s “Kind Hearts and Coronets,” Charles Crichton’s “The Lavender Hill Mob,” and Alexander Mackendrick’s “The Man In The White Suit.”
