Parcels from the UK, Germany, and France came in today. In all, their contents consisted of three new additions to the shop’s inventory and a trio of restocks. Among the first-timers are debuts from Robert Zemeckis (“Used Cars”) and Kaneto Shindo (“Onibaba”), as well as “Way of a Gaucho,” the third title to grace 4xblu’s shelves from “Curse of the Demon” and “Canyon Passage” director Jacques Tourneur.
As for the restocks, there’s Gregg Araki’s “Smiley Face” and a pair of anthology films: “Four Rooms,” directed by Allison Anders, Alexandre Rockwell, Robert Rodriguez, and Quentin Tarantino, plus “RoGoPaG,” directed by Roberto Rossellini, Jean-Luc Godard, Pier Paolo Pasolini, and Ugo Gregoretti.
