For today’s online store additions, the latest round of selections includes two of today’s Australian arrivals (Seth Holt’s “The Nanny” and Tom Savini’s “Night of the Living Dead”) and “Cría Cuervos” by Carlos Saura. The film’s title literally means “Raise Ravens,” and is a reference to the Spanish saying “Cría cuervos y te sacarán los ojos,” which translates as “If you raise ravens they will peck your eyes out.” As my wife’s nephew explained it, the idea is that if you do a poor job of raising your kids you’ll pay for it when they grow up.
