The shop received a sizeable haul of titles from England and Germany today that included eight restocks, one new addition to 4xblu’s inventory (Sam Peckinpah’s “Cross of Iron”), and a pair of customer requests: the 15th anniversary British Blu-ray of Mary Harron’s “American Psycho” and Jane Campion’s “Top of the Lake,” which became the first miniseries to screen at the Sundance Film Festival in 2013.
The arrival of “American Psycho” has generated a great deal of curiosity, since this title has been available domestically in an inexpensive, extras-laden edition since 2007. If memory serves correctly, the customer who requested it said this British disc uses a better encode (which initially appeared on the Australian Blu-ray) and includes extras not included on either the American or Australian editions, which would seem to indicate that this disc is the version to have.
