For today’s online store additions, we have Gus Van Sant’s “Elephant,” one of today’s arrivals, Richard Linklater’s “Me & Orson Welles,” and Michael Haneke’s “Cache.” When I attended an AFI Fest screening of “Cache” back in 2005, there was a definite sense that a majority of the audience had no idea what to make of the film’s ending (and seemed none too happy about it). However, with time the film’s reputation seems to have strengthened as once-perplexed viewers have discussed the picture and gone back for subsequent viewings.
