A package from Germany containing a quartet of restocks came in today. Among the arrivals were Kathryn Bigelow’s “Blue Steel,” “Me & Orson Welles” by Richard Linklater, Aardman’s “Chicken Run,” and Douglas Sirk’s “Captain Lightfoot.” Although best known today for melodramas like “All that Heaven Allows,” “Magnificent Obsession,” and “Written on the Wind,” Sirk and his frequent leading man Rock Hudson also made action adventures such as “Captain Lightfoot,” in which Jeff Morrow played the Thunderbolt to Hudson’s Lightfoot for this picture about early 19th century Irish rebels that was a favorite of director Michael Cimino.
