A considerable haul came into the shop from Finland and the UK this afternoon. The Finnish arrivals consisted of a new addition to the shop’s inventory, Erik Blomberg’s “The White Reindeer,” and five restocks: Klaus Härö’s “The Fencer” plus four Aki Kaurismäki films — “Ariel,” “The Match Factory Girl,” “Shadows in Paradise,” and “Take Care of Your Scarf, Tatiana.”
As for the British films, there was one new addition, Terence Fisher’s “Island of Terror,” and customer-requested copies of Indicator’s Blu-ray of Brian De Palma’s “Body Double” and Disney’s “Frozen.” The remaining restocks included a pair of Arrow titles, Fassbinder’s “The Marriage of Maria Braun” and David Cronenberg’s “Shivers,” plus Luis Buñuel’s “The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie,” Michael Powell’s “Peeping Tom,” and Philip D’Antoni’s “The Seven-Ups.”
