The latest round of packages to arrive at the shop included a trio of customer-requested debuts (Shin’ya Tsukamoto’s “Kotoko” plus Takashi Miike’s “Lesson of Evil” and “For Love’s Sake”) as well as eight German restocks. Among the titles in the haul from the continent are Lars von Trier’s “Dancer in the Dark,” which is the third installment in the director’s so-called “Golden Heart” trilogy. For those who might wonder what the point is of owning a Blu-ray disc of a movie that was shot with video cameras (often handheld), DVDBeaver’s review spells out the benefits of this particular presentation. To the dismay of those hoping this title would receive a deluxe edition from an American boutique label, “Dancer in the Dark” recently got a burn-on-demand DVD-R release from the Warner Archive, so this German release may be as good as it gets for the foreseeable future.
