Today’s mail contained a quintet of restocks from the UK and France. From one side of the English Channel comes BFI Blu-rays of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s “Theorem,” Lotte Reiniger’s “The Adventures of Prince Achmed,” and Roberto Rossellini’s “War Trilogy” (“Rome, Open City,” “Paisà ,” and “Germany Year Zero”; as a bonus, the set contains a fourth Rossellini film, “L’Amore”). From the continent we get Abel Gance’s “Paradise Lost” and Jacques Tourneur’s “Curse of the Demon” (at least that’s how it’s known in the United States; the film’s original title in its native UK is “Night of the Demon”).
