Today’s lone arrival is the Region A compatible Australian Blu-ray of Seth Holt’s “The Nanny,” a Hammer picture starring Bette Davis. It was the first of three British films that Davis would make during the mid-to-late 1960’s, followed by “The Anniversary” (also for Hammer) and “Connecting Rooms.” For Holt, who’d begun his career in the editing department at Ealing Studios twenty years earlier, “The Nanny” was the second film he directed for Hammer, preceded by 1961’s “Scream of Fear.”
