A bumper crop of Blu-rays came into the shop today, including 4xblu’s first title from the Czech Republic! An order went out for three copies of Karel Zeman’s “Invention for Destruction” at the request of one of 4xblu’s regulars and, before the discs even arrived, a second regular spotted it on the “Coming Soon” board and snapped up the 2nd copy that was intended for sale. To those who are interested in a copy, fear not: the shop definitely intends to order more.
Among the rest of today’s abundant arrivals (all restocks): a half-dozen titles from Britain’s Masters of Cinema, “The Boston Strangler” and “Son of Frankenstein” from France, plus “Frozen,” “Drowning By Numbers,” and “Bastards” by Claire Denis from the UK.
