NOTE: This set is not English friendly. The films are accompanied by unsubtitled French remarks by Cannes Film Festival director Thierry Frémaux (which can be turned off, so they can either be watched with musical accompaniment or silent) and the collection’s bonus features don’t come with any English subs. That said, this is the only Blu-ray release of the Lumière brothers’ films since receiving a 4k restoration, and as I said here it doesn’t appear they’ll be getting an American release anytime soon.
